Joint Thematic Group December event - Registrations close Thu 23 Nov!
"De-centring academic expertise: The politics of knowledge production and social transformation"
The Applied Sociology TG, along with the Emotions & Affect and Critical Disabilities Studies groups are hosting a two-day symposium event at the University of Melbourne, Parkville campus - face-to-face and online. Keynote Speakers include:
* A/Prof Crystal McKinnon - Amangu Yamatji historian, critical Indigenous studies scholar and community organiser located in Melbourne University’s School of Social and Political Science.
* Nadia Mattiazzo - CEO of Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV), the peak organisation for and of women with disabilities in Victoria and has previously been CEO of Blind Citizens Australia.
Co-convenor expressions of interest
As you may know, Dr Catherine Hastings has stood down from the role of co-convenor. I am looking for one or two individuals to help me with the TG next year - I am happy to show you the ropes. PLease send me an email if you are interested.
